HAMMOND, La. — A man was arrested in Hammond after a shooting on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.

TPSO said Johnathan Blackwell, 35, was arrested for second-degree murder in a release. They said the shooting happened around 2 p.m. when deputies were called to a mobile home in the 41000 block of W I-55 Service Road.

Deputies said a man was found dead inside of the home.

"Detectives quickly learned the shooting was the result of an argument between the deceased, who has not yet been identified, and Blackwell," a release said.
