Upon contact with Fifer, he barricaded himself inside the house with at least two weapons, which activated JPSO SWAT before 7 a.m.

The Fifer allegedly threatened his own life and those of the deputies. Hours later, the armed suspect walked out of the house with a firearm and shot after he raised it toward deputies.

Lopinto said at least two JPSO deputies fired on the Fifer, who was fatally wounded.

No other suspects or people were inside the house.

The investigation is ongoing.
