ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — Two rape suspects and a Slidell man were each indicted by a grand jury Wednesday related to different incidents, according to the St. Tammany Parish District Attorney's Office.
One man was accused of aggravated rape against two young girls, another man was accused of raping and sexually assaulting a young child, and the Slidell man was accused of the death of a 2-year-old girl after cocaine and fentanyl was found in her system.
Ahmad Hassan Smith, 33, was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape involving two girls between 2008 and 2010 in Slidell.
Lenin Antonio Munoz-Rivera, 32, was indicted for first-degree rape, sexual battery, and aggravated crime against nature, involving a victim under the age of 13, the DA Office reported. The sexual assaults happened between 2021 and 2022 in Slidell.
According to the DA's Office, Christopher Mikhail Baker, 32, was indicted for second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to juveniles, possession of fentanyl and cocaine, and illegal carrying of weapons while in possession of fentanyl. The incident happened on Jan. 7 in Slidell.
