ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. — A SWAT team was deployed on Saturday evening for a man who barricaded himself in a home in Destrehan, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the man threatened others and family members at a home on Shadow Lane. They said the man was armed and alone inside the home.
The man surrendered peacefully and without incident, a release said. Deputies are working to clear the scene.
The scene is active and the sheriff's office asks that the public avoid the area.
