ST. BERNARDPARISH, La. - For a third time this year, a St. Bernard Parish employee has been arrested.
Former NFL football player and recreation department program manager, Jeff Sanchez, was arrested on two counts of theft of more than $500 and two counts of possession of stolen property worth more than $500.
Parish officials wouldn't provide any additional information, saying they didn't want to jeopardize an ongoing investigation that could lead to more arrests.
Last month, two road department employees were arrested and charged with stealing parish equipment and selling it as scrap.
