SLIDELL, La. — The Slidell Police Department arrested a man after he locked customers and employees inside the Starbucks at the Fremaux Town Center.
Police say 23-year-old James Thrash secured a bicycle chain lock to the front doors on Wednesday, preventing anyone from exiting.
After locking the door, Thrash left the area. Later, the people inside Starbucks were able to exit out of another door.
Officers quickly arrested Thrash; he's charged with terrorizing, attempted false imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
Police believe that Thrash locked the door because he was "previously dispersed from the property."
