SLIDELL, La. — A 48-year-old Slidell man was arrested on Monday by detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division.
According to the STPSO, detectives obtained two warrants for Kristopher Hardin for his arrest in connection with the distribution of methamphetamine.
Detectives conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 2 of Interstate 59 South in Pearl River, La. Hardin was then taken into custody without incident.
Sheriff Randy Smith said a search of Hardin's vehicle yielded approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine and illegal possession of Suboxone and drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant was executed a short time later at Hardin’s residence in the 200 block of Goldenwood Drive in Slidell. Detectives located and seized four illegally possessed firearms, Adderall, Gabapentin and more Suboxone and drug paraphernalia.
In addition to the arrest warrants, Hardin was also booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- L.R.S. 40:967A/C Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
- L.R.S. 40:967C Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Amphetamine)
- L.R.S. 49:968C Possession of a Schedule III CDS (Suboxone)
- L.R.S. 14:95E Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS
- L.R.S. 40:1060.13 Possession of a Legend Drug without a valid Prescription
- L.R.S. 40:1023C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- L.R.S. 32:53 Improper Display of Plate
- L.R.S. 32:79 Driving Left of Center
“If you think you are going to sell dangerous and illegal drugs in our parish and not be arrested, you are mistaken,” said Sheriff Smith. “Law Enforcement will not tolerate it and our residents will not tolerate it, and we continue to work together to identify those individuals who are selling drugs in our neighborhoods.”
Sheriff Smith is asking anyone with information about narcotics, or other crimes, to submit a tip utilizing the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office website or by calling the narcotics tip line (1-888-GO-2-JAIL).
