TERREBONNE PARISH, La. — The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a second person in an ongoing child molestation investigation.
Last week, TPSO arrested 54-year-old Billy Ray McLin after they learned about information related to a sexually motivated incident involving a juvenile under the age of 13. The incident allegedly happened at a home in the 4900 block of Bayouside Drive on June 30th, 2024.
Authorities met with the victim, who told them about being sexually abused for three years. While talking with that victim they learned that two other juveniles under the age of 11 had also been abused.
Investigators found evidence that he also abused a fourth child, who was under 10 years old at the time of the abuse. The victims all identified Billy Ray McLin as the person responsible for the abuse.
On Wednesday, deputies arrested a second person, 31-year-old Tiffany McLin. The sheriff's office says she knew about the alleged abuse but did not report it to authorities.
Both Tiffany and Billy Ray Mclin are booked in the Terrebonne parish jail.
Sheriff Soignet said, “These types of cases tend to be very disturbing for the public, as well as tedious for our investigators. I have the utmost belief in our detectives, to bring a conclusion to this incident for all involved.”
