Report: 2 Troop NOLA officers injured during Bourbon St. arrest

NEW ORLEANS — Two Troop NOLA officers were injured during a drug arrest on Bourbon Street.

According to our partners at The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate, one officer suffered a serious neck injury, and the other had minor injuries.

NOLA.com says police saw a suspicious person, and he allegedly ran away. The suspect was identified as 40-year-old Damon Dawson.

He was arrested and booked into the New Orleans jail.
