PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. — Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 20-year-old man for shooting and killing another man in Port Sulphur.
Detectives say Victor Battle is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Billy Saunier Monday on Caroline Drive.
“PPSO deputies responded to the report of a shooting and discovered a male victim with injuries consistent with gunshots. Plaquemines Parish Emergency Medical Services arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead on the scene,” said the sheriff’s office in a press release.
Battle is being held at the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center, where he has been booked with Second Degree Murder.
