NEW ORLEANS — Detectives with the New Orleans Police Department are searching for a person of interest in a 2022 homicide investigation and need the public's help.
According to investigators, Alvin Mitchell is believed to have information concerning a fatal shooting that occurred on June 21, 2022, in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road.
They say Mitchell is not currently wanted for a crime, but detectives want to talk to him.
Detectives also say Mitchell is known to carry firearms and has a history of violence so anyone with knowledge of his location should simply report the information to the police and NOT attempt to interact with him.
