NEW ORLEANS — A man was shot on I-10 E near the parish line, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. At one point, traffic was backed up to Loyola Avenue, DOTD reported.
JPSO said the victim is in stable condition at a local hospital.
WWL Louisiana reporter Rachel Handley was on the scene.
Two lanes are open now but traffic was moving slow.
I-610 closed due to the shooting, but reopened around 5 p.m.
