One man killed in the Marigny Sunday morning

The NOPD located an unresponsive male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

NEW ORLEANS — The NOPD is investigating a shooting that killed one man Sunday morning in the Marigny.

NOPD officials located an unresponsive man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 1000 block of Kerlerec Street just after 7 a.m.. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

There is currently no information on a suspect.

NOPD officials have labeled the killing a homicide, meaning investigators with the NOPD's homicide unit will lead the investigation.

Investigators are continuing to look for clues, and the investigation is not over, but police said they're willing to hear from people with information.
