NEW ORLEANS — Police are investigating a double shooting they say happened a block off S. Claiborne Avenue in the Broadmoor neighborhood Friday night.

According to reports, two teenagers were shot while outside on a porch in the 3200 block of Louisiana Avenue Parkway. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 13-year-old boy shot in the abdomen and a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound in his rear.

Both teens appear to be in stable condition but no additional information on their injuries were available Friday night, officials said.

Neither a motive nor a suspect was named in the incident so far.

The shooting comes hours after a man was struck and injured by a car four blocks from the Friday night parade route in the Marigny.
