NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shootings in the 7th Ward blocks away and about an hour apart Saturday night.
The first shooting happened at about 9:43 a.m. in the 2200 block of Frenchman Street.
The NOPD reports that a man and woman arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds. Police have not said what condition the victims are in or any additional information on the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
Then, at about 10:47 a.m. police responded to a call of another shooting a few blocks away in the 2400 block of Elysian Fields.
Police say a woman was shot and taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. Few details are available on this incident.
NOPD investigators have not said if the two shootings are connected or not.
