NOPD: New Orleans shooting suspects identified, wanted

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating 54-year-old Jerome Benjamin Sr and son Jerome Benjamin Jr, 18, for a 5th District shooting.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department identified two men, who appear by name to be father and son, in a shooting investigation that stems from an incident that was later revealed in the 3300 block of Morrice Duncan Drive on Sept. 13.

According to police, the shooting left a 20-year-old injured from several gunshot wounds at around 10:50 p.m. on the day.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.
