NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in Pines Village that left one man dead.
Police say the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Majestic Oaks Drive. When officers arrived, they found the man, later identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office as 22-year-old Ky'ree A. Thompson, inside a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound.
Thompson was declared dead at the scene.
