NOPD: Man shot, killed in the Leonidas neighborhood

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a call for shots being fired in the area.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Leonidas neighborhood.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a call for shots being fired in the area.

Officers were flagged down by someone saying there was a man on the ground when they arrived at the scene. They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

EMS declared found the man suffering from a gunshot wound he was declared dead on scene.
