NOPD looking for stolen café racer motorcycle in New Orleans

Home security camera footage shows a suspect allegedly stealing a 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer from a Broadmoor residence.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a stolen motorcycle taken from a Broadmoor neighborhood residence over the weekend.

Second District detectives released home surveillance video footage of a suspect allegedly stealing a rare Italian motorcycle from a Broadmoor neighborhood residence in the 4400 block of South Tonti Street in the early morning hours of  Sunday, Oct. 27.

Shortly after 4 a.m., video shows the suspect on a bicycle ride up to the residence and tamper with the ignition of a silver, black and red 2017 Moto Guzzi V7  III Racer.

New Orleans Police Department is looking for a 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer motorcycle that was stolen at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27.

At 4:11 a.m., the video shows the suspect successfully turning on the lights of the motorcycle before getting back on his bicycle and riding away from the scene toward Napoleon Avenue.

Approximately three minutes later (4:15 a.m.), what appears to be the same suspect walks up from the alternate direction and starts the bike before riding off with the motorcycle a minute later.

Anyone with information regarding this motorcycle is asked to contact a 2nd District detective at 504-658-6020  or anonymously with Crimestoppers at  504-822-1111.
