One man killed, another hurt in double shooting

NOPD said a man was shot and killed and another was rushed to the hospital.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting that killed one man and wounded another. It happened on the 2500 block of South Derbigny Street near Third Street Sunday night, according to a press release. 

Officers say they arrived at the scene just after 9 p.m. and found two men with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS pronounced one of the men dead at the scene, and the other was rushed to the hospital.

The NOPD did not share any additional information at this time.
