NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting where two adults were killed, one adult was injured and two children were wounded on Wednesday night.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Bullard Avenue and Chef Menteur Highway, according to a press release. Police said they learned of the situation at around 6:01 p.m.
A woman died at the scene while a man died at a local hospital.
Another woman was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg, while a 3-year-old was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, and an 8-year-old was hospitalized with graze wounds to the neck and face.
The NOPD said they do not have additional details to share at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.
