NEW ORLEANS — A male victim was declared dead on the scene, according to the New Orleans Police Department on Wednesday afternoon.
Police began a homicide investigation in the 4300 block of Stemway Drive after receiving a call at 12:43 p.m.
Seventh District detectives are on the scene.
Meanwhile, the NOPD reported another shooting at Newton Street and Whitney Avenue just before noon.
Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
