NEW ORLEANS — One person was killed and three others wounded in an early morning shooting in Algiers Wednesday.
New Orleans Police said the shooting took place near the intersection of Wall Blvd. and Murl Street in Algiers around 1:15 a.m.
Officers responding to a call of multiple gunshots found a man fatally shot inside of a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said two other victims, one man, and a juvenile male went to the hospital by private transportation. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A second juvenile was located at Greenspoint Drive and taken to the hospital with what police said were serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are in the process of gathering evidence as the investigation is ongoing.
