NOPD identifies car in hit-and-run outside of Jazz Fest

Police say they're looking for the driver of a white sedan, possibly an Acura.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department has identified a car connected to the hit-and-run of a woman on a bicycle.

Police say they're looking for the driver of a white sedan, possibly an Acura. The car has tinted windows and a sunroof, according to investigators.

Katherine Elkins was leaving Jazz Fest on her bicycle on April 29 when she was hit at Esplanade and Claiborne around 9 p.m. Elkins came up to the intersection at Esplanade Avenue and Claiborne around 9 p.m. when she was hit by a car, that then drove off.
