NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shootings on Sunday, following a violent Saturday night that included multiple gun-related incidents. Police reported that a 21-year-old man was injured in one shooting, and another person was killed in a separate incident.
The first shooting occurred around 7:50 p.m. Police said they believe the shooting happened in New Orleans East, but the exact location is unknown at this time. NOPD later reported the incident was in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard.
A 21-year-old man arrived at a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. According to police, he is reportedly in stable condition.
The second incident was reported around 8:25 p.m. in the 2100 block of Louisiana Avenue. Officers responded to a report of a "man down" and found the victim unresponsive.
EMS said the victim died from what they believed to be a gunshot wound.
