NEW ORLEANS — A 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting near the West Lake Forest neighborhood on Monday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police said the incident happened in the 5100 block of Bundy Road around 8:46 p.m.
Officers said "at least 1 juvenile black male victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to the body," in a release.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, NOPD said.
Detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident as well as a motive.
