NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Plum Orchard neighborhood.
Police said they were conducting a wellness check in the 4700 block of Bonita Drive when they found a man with a gunshot wound. EMS declared the victim dead at the scene.
"The incident was initially considered to be an unclassified death," NOPD said. Investigators later re-classified the incident as a homicide.
No other information is available at this time.
