PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. — A deputy working for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office suffered a head injury after a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, according to the sheriff.
The sheriff's office said the deputy was injured while on duty. He is in the hospital in the ICU.
"Thank you for all your support, thoughts and prayers! Our PPSO deputy is currently in ICU in stable condition being treated for a head injury after being involved in motorcycle accident while on duty. Please keep those thoughts and prayers coming," the sheriff's office said.
"Please take a moment to say a prayer for a PPSO Deputy that was involved in a motor vehicle accident," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
