SLIDELL, La. — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting near Slidell, La., on Monday evening close to a business near South Military Road and Gause Boulevard.
According to the STPSO, the shooting involves both a male and female victim. The male victim died on the scene, while the female was taken to a hospital for treatment and later succumbed to her injuries.
"This is an ongoing investigation, but at this time it appears to be domestic in nature and all involved individuals are accounted for," STPSO said.
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office later identified the victims as Dennis F. Knecht, 67, and Cynthia Knecht, 64.
