HOUMA, La. — The Houma Police Department is searching for a man after a hit-and-run near Glenwood Drive.
Police say 31-year-old Treyon Marqui Williams attempted to run his girlfriend's vehicle off the road multiple times after a domestic dispute on New Year's Day.
The victim told police that Williams had asked her to take him to his mother's home during the dispute. During the transportation, she escaped with her three small children in another vehicle, according to police.
Williams got in another vehicle and chased the victim. He then tried multiple times to run his girlfriend's vehicle off of the road. She crashed into an electric pole and car, and he hit a home during the incident. Williams fled the scene before police arrived.
Police did not say if anyone was injured.
A warrant for the arrest of Williams was obtained for:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Attempted Second Degree Murder (9X)
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to property
- Hit and Run
- Reckless operation of a vehicle
