TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. — The Louisiana State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish that killed a 50-year-old man.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m., on Sunday, troopers began investigating the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 55 near LA Hwy 442 in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash claimed the life of Kenny McCoy of Pride Louisiana.
State police said the initial investigation revealed the crash occurred as McCoy was northbound on Interstate 55 in a commercial motor vehicle. For reasons still under investigation, the CMV traveled off of the roadway to the right and impacted several trees.
McCoy was pronounced deceased on the scene. As part of the ongoing investigation, a toxicology sample was obtained from McCoy for analysis.
