NEW ORLEANS — A violent weekend has spilled over into the start of the week as the New Orleans Police Department dispatched officers to a shooting after receiving a call about the incident shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday.
According to police, the shooting occurred in the 6000 block of Downman Road and left a male victim with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Service for treatment.
There is no further information at this time, but this is a developing story.
