NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of Gentilly Boulevard on Friday morning.
According to the NOPD, officers arrived at the scene near the near the New Orleans Fairgrounds Race Course & Slots shortly after 11 a.m. and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported via Emergency Medical Services to the hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later identified the man as 31-year-old Terreal Trotter.
