NEW ORLEANS — Breanna Jones, a Baton Rouge resident, says she and her family have been getting harassed by the father of her child.
“It started by him sending threatening messages to me and I went to the police and told them what’s going on and filed a restraining order against him. As soon as he was served he came and allegedly cut my tires,” Jones said.
Then Saturday, her house was set ablaze. She watched it happen from her security cameras as she wasn’t at her house.
King, 30, was arrested and charged for the incident. King is also facing charges in Orleans parish of domestic abuse aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. He was released from jail on those charges on a $30,000 bail and required to wear an ankle monitor.
Jill Dennis with Assured Supervision Accountability Program, ASAP, the company monitoring King’s ankle monitor said he had been adhering to his release requirements, until recently.
After getting served with the restraining order against Jones, ASAP says they received multiple alerts in the past few weeks that King was violating the stay-away zone. Those alerts include the time Jones’ tires were slashed and when her house was set on fire Saturday.
Dennis says she wishes King would’ve been picked up for violating the order, or slashing the tires before he had the opportunity to set Jones’ house ablaze.
“The amount of fear and pain in this lady’s voice when she said ‘miss jill help me Christian’s setting my home on fire,’” Dennis said.
Now Jones is left with thousands of dollars in damage and still in fear.
“It’s heartbreaking I really hope that he’s not able to get out because he will try to kill us,” Jones said.
