NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Police in Nashville Tennessee say they have arrested one suspect out of two suspects in the shooting investigation of an LSU med student.
Nashville Police announced Sunday that Michael Green, 19, was arrested and booked with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping, as WBRZ reports.
A second suspect in the shooting investigation is still at large and police are searching for that suspect.
According to police, the 26-year-old victim was walking on Eastwood Drive in Nashville last week when two males of undetermined age got out of a dark Dodge Avenger sedan that had the passenger window covered and attacked her. Nashville police say the victim fought back, screamed and the assailants fled, but fired shots and struck her as they fled.
At the time of the incident LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine said in a statement; "LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine was horrified to learn about the attack on one of our students in Nashville. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with her and her family during this difficult time. She is in her final year of study, and we are working with her and her family to ensure that she can graduate on time.”
