LSP, FBI joint investigation leads to two child exploitation arrests

Investigators say each individual was charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Computer-aided Solicitation of a Minor.

PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. — A Plaquemines Parish man and a St. Tammany Parish man have been arrested in a collaborative investigation between Louisiana State Police, and the FBI and local sheriff's offices.

“Over the last two days, the Louisiana State Police-Special Victim’s Unit, working in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Madisonville Police Department, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrested two individuals on charges related to child sexual exploitation,” said state police in a news release.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Uri Parra Gonzalez of Slidell and 31-year-old Gregory Wright of Belle Chasse.

Investigators say each individual was charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Computer-aided Solicitation of a Minor.

Gonzalez was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and Wright was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. The cases remain under investigation.
