NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana SPCA has found the box truck stolen from the organization's New Orleans campus on Friday morning.

Organizers said the truck was found abandoned in St. John Parish and they are working with local agencies to get the truck back.

Although the box truck was found, LA/SPCA said they are still searching for the woman who stole the truck around 7 a.m.

According to an earlier post by LA/SPCA post on social media, the vehicle is used for transporting animals and food, and is specially equipped with air conditioning for the comfort of animals during transport.

"We need your help," the LA/SPCA posted. "We use this vehicle frequently in our life-saving work and would really like to recover it."

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to contact the NOPD immediately.
