TERRYTOWN, La. — Warning: Listener discretion is advised for pieces of the 911 call recording.
A chilling 911 recording captured the moments after the mother of accused killer Terrance Leonard came to the scene at a Terrytown home where her son’s girlfriend, the girlfriend’s children and a niece were attacked with a hammer early Wednesday morning.
His mother initially discovered the body of 32-year-old Kristina Riley and one of the young victims “all stretched out and not breathing,” she said in the call to 911.
It is unclear from the recording, obtained by WWL-TV's partners at the New Orleans Advocate, in which order she discovered the victims. In addition to Kristina Riley, her 10-year-old son Ayden Riley and 9-year-old niece De’ryona Encalade were also killed. Severely injured were her other two daughters.

During the call there is a lot of confusion and during some, or all of the call, the accused killer, Leonard, is there with his mother, who apparently does not suspect him of being involved. At least twice she tells the operator that the person who is responsible for the attack is not there, even though the call indicates her son is at her side.
Here is a portion of the transcript.
MOTHER: “We came to this house and my daughter-in-law and her daughter is all stretched out and they not breathing.”
MOTHER: “I don’t see the other children and I don’t see them.”
DISPATCHER: “There is no pulse whatsoever?”
MOTHER: “Nothing. They laying out,” the mother said.
The dispatcher tells the mother to get ready to perform CPR, and tells her she’s going to walk her though it.
MOTHER: “They got blood everywhere”

The dispatcher asks if they’re breathing.
MOTHER: “I don’t know ma’am! I’m trying my best to turn her over”
MOTHER: “No, she dead. She dead. She dead. We got one dead, two dead. Please come on, please!”
DISPATCHER: “The police are on their way, ma’am. Is there someone in there that might endanger them?”
MOTHER: “No, no, no.”
DISPATCHER: Bleeding from where?
MOTHER: “She naked, she bleeding from the head, too. I don’t see the other children.”
MOTHER (to Leonard) “In the closet, where?”
DISPATCHER: “There’s children in the closet?”
MOTHER: “Yeah.”
DISPATCHER: “The person that was doing this, are they currently there ma’am?”
MOTHER: “No! I’m looking, miss. Me and my son came in here and this is what happened. This is what we found!”
MOTHER: “This is what we found. I’m trying to find the other children. Me and my son.”
DISPATCHER: “The other kids were still in the closet?”
At that point, Leonard’s mother discovers additional victims.
MOTHER: “Oh my God, they’re in the closet! Lord, they’re not alive, please! Oh my God, Oh my God!”
The mother can be heard struggling to catch her breath.
DISPATCHER: “Do you see blood?”
MOTHER: “Everywhere! Please, hurry up! I’m going around the corner to get her momma!”
The call ends, but another is placed and continues until the emergency crews arrive.
Terrance Leonard was later arrested. Sheriff Joe Lopinto said he confessed to the crimes. He is being held in the Jefferson Parish jail.
