Cut Off couple charged again after sheriff finds nearly 100 videos of sexual animal abuse

They face a new charge of 96 counts each of sexual abuse of an animal, Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says.

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — A couple in Lafourche Parish was hit with a new charge of bestiality after detectives found 96 videos of "humans engaged in sexual acts with animals," according to the Lafourche Parish Sherriff's Office.

Jorden and Jennie Theriot both face 96 counts each of sexual abuse of an animal, the sheriff's office said on Thursday. That includes possession and production of pornographic images of a person and an animal engaged in sexual activity.

Detectives said they obtained new warrants for the couple following their continued investigation.

The couple was taken into custody on Aug. 1 on child rape, weapons and drug charges.

Deputies said they began investigating the couple in July after they got reports of possible sexual abuse of more than one child.

After conducting a search warrant, they found guns, ammunition, and drugs in their home. Detectives said they found 14 firearms with a large amount of ammunition and found several types of narcotics.

Both Jorden and Jennie Theriot are convicted felons and face a list of charges.

"Jorden Theriot was charged with two counts of first-degree rape, pornography involving juveniles, 14 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice, possession of Valium, possession of Xanax, possession of morphine, and possession of marijuana."

His bail was initially set at $820,500. Now his bail is $1,780,500.

"Jennie Theriot was charged with two counts of principal to first-degree rape, pornography involving juveniles, indecent behavior with juveniles, 14 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice, possession of Valium, possession of Xanax, possession of morphine, and possession of marijuana."

Her bond was initially set at $1,245,500. Now her bond is $2,205,500. 

She is being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole due to a probation violation.
