KENNER, La. β Two juveniles were arrested after stolen vehicles from New Orleans were found, according to the Kenner Police Department.
Police said they were alerted of a stolen Nissan Kick near the I-10 and Williams Blvd. interchange around 2:10 a.m. on Friday.
Units then surrounded the area and found the car in the in the 3200 block of Williams. A police officer on the scene said he saw one of the juveniles get out of the Nissan Kick and talk to the other juvenile in an Alpha Romeo.
When backup units arrived and both juveniles were arrested without incident. Police also confirmed that the juveniles were both from New Orleans, including the cars that were stolen.
In the Nissan, police "discovered illegal narcotics and a 9mm handgun" and said "the vehicle may have been involved in an armed robbery in New Orleans."
