COVINGTON, La. — The Covington Police Department says they have taken a juvenile into custody for questioning after the suspect posted threats of violence towards Covington High School on social media.
Police will remain on-site throughout the school day as a "precautionary measure."
"Please be assured that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of everyone at Covington High School," Covington PD said in a Facebook post. "If you have any concerns or information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us."
