JEFFERSON, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting early Sunday morning that left one man dead and another hospitalized in stable condition, according to Sheriff Joseph Lopinto.
Deputies responded around 3:30 a.m. to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the 300 block of Brooklyn Avenue. Inside a residence, they found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders pronounced one victim dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims, pending notification of their families. No suspect or motive information is available at this time.
