TERREBONNE PARISH, La. — An 18-year-old Houma man was arrested for having sex with a missing teen from Thibodaux after he was found in the hotel with the juvenile on Tuesday, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.

Cameron P. Rodrigue was charged with sex crimes and carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Deputies said the teen was seen at a hotel in Terrebonne Parish on Friday, Mar. 1. When deputies went to that location they allegedly found Rodrigue and the teen in a room together.

They said Rodrigue and the teen had sex multiple times after he was ordered not to contact the teen. Deputies also found more evidence that Rodrigue continued to contact the teen, which could lead to more charges.

Rodrigue was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing.

“As always, we ask for patience and privacy for the victim and family," said Sheriff Tim Soignet. "Our Detectives are working diligently to bring a resolution to this unfortunate investigation.”
