BOGALUSA, La. — The Bogalusa Police Department says their officers have arrested five juveniles in connection to the December homicide of 15-year-old Ronnie “King” Taylor.
Taylor was killed in a shooting at another 15-year-old’s birthday party on Warren Street in Bogalusa.
“On Tuesday, February 07, 2023, the Bogalusa Police Department located and arrested 5 juveniles in relation to the December 09, 2022 homicide of Ronnie "King" Taylor,” the Bogalusa Police Department says.
“We hope these arrests bring a sense of peace to the family and friends of Mr. Taylor, along with the Bogalusa High School and the citizens of Bogalusa.”
His parents say they thought Ronnie was going to a community resource center that night but then got a call saying he had been shot at a birthday party.
“He was a whole handful, but one thing he was, he was positive. He had the energy to give people a smile when he was having a bad day,” his father, Reginald Taylor said. “For him to be gone, I don’t know how to even think about waking up without hearing him.”
The youngest of eight kids, Ronnie was a student at Bogalusa High School. His parents say he was always motivated, loved music, and wanted to own his own business someday.
