Homeland Security arrests New Orleans teacher on sex trafficking charges

NEW ORLEANS — The Department of Homeland Security New Orleans and U.S. Marshals Service announced they arrested a New Orleans area teacher on sex trafficking of minor charges.

Investigators arrested 36-year-old Aaron Johnson on Thursday, August 15.

Johnson allegedly coerced an underage minor to travel from Mississippi to Louisiana for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex, according to the Department of Homeland Security New Orleans.

Johnson has been employed as a teacher in the New Orleans area since 2023.

Authorities with HSI are asking for information that may help identify potential victims Johnson may have engaged with.
