Gonzales police search for man and woman they say stole $1k in Nike products

GONZALES, La. — A man and woman are wanted after they stole $1k in merchandise from a Nike Outlet store at Tanger Mall, according to the Gonzales Police Department.

Police said they went into the store on March 1 around 5:50 p.m. and walked out without paying for the items they had. Surveillance video captured the two in the store. The man was last seen wearing a white polo shirt and the woman had on a black jacket.

The stolen items are valued at $1,045.68, the department said in a post on Facebook

Police said they are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects.

The man and woman could be charged with property theft crime, police said.
