NEW ORLEANS — A renowned New Orleans musician, Glen David Andrews, pleaded guilty to multiple domestic abuse charges and simple robbery on Tuesday, according to Nola.com.
The guilty plea comes in a deal where Andrews, 45, faces four criminal cases. Prosecutors accused him of "spitting on and slapping a woman in front of her child in 2019," our partners reported. He was charged with domestic abuse second offense and domestic abuse child endangerment.
Then again in 2019, a separate incident occurred where police said Andrews "punched and kicked a man" and robbed him with a knife at an apartment in the Central business District, Nola.com reported.
Andrews' attorney, Rachel Conner, said the incident resulted in two different court cases. Andrews was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. He pleaded to simple robbery and second-degree battery charges, our partners reported.
In a fourth court case, he also pleaded to the "possession of less than two grams of fentanyl."
Prosecutors suggested Andrews be sentenced to 60 days in jail and three years of active probation. The Louisiana Attorney General's Office prosecuted the case, our partners reported.
Andrews is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 10.
