SLIDELL, La. — The Slidell Police Department published a cheeky post on Facebook after a female motorist was arrested following a police pursuit Friday afternoon.
The SPD, which used hashtags #FindOutFriday' and #SlidellsFinest, said the suspect "found out" that local police do not "mess around" when it comes to crime.
According to SPD, the motorist caused a 4-vehicle crash and then fled the scene to spark a pursuit. Once stopped several miles from the incident, officers were able to apprehend the suspect.
Once at the jail, SPD says the motorist struck an officer with her elbow while in custody. Police said the officer was not injured during the altercation.
The suspect is now facing various charges stemming from the traffic crash and the vehicle pursuit.
