Final escapee arrested after breaking out of Tangipahoa Parish Jail in May

20-year-old Jamarcus Cyprian had been on the run since May.

AMITE CITY, La. — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a fourth and final escapee who broke out of jail earlier this year.

According to TPSO deputies, 20-year-old Jamarcus Cyprian was taken into custody at a residence in the Hammond area on Wednesday afternoon.

Cyprian had been on the run since mid-May.

Cyprian was one of four inmates who escaped after Avery Guidry, 19, and Travon Johnson, 21, allegedly broke part of a fence, slid under an outside wall, and climbed two razor-wire fences Saturday. Omarion Hookfin and Cyprian followed suit.

Hookfin is the third of four inmates who escaped the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Sunday, leaving only Cyprian still at large.

TPSO will hold a press conference on Thursday to provide further details.
