Teen wanted as murder suspect in death of Baton Rouge school employee, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Baton Rouge Police is searching for a teenager wanted as a suspect for murder in the death of an East Baton Rouge Schools employee, according to WBRZ.

Police are looking for 19-year-old Jaymie Thomas, who is wanted for second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to our partners, the body of "EBRPSS employee Marcus Spears, 55 was found in a wooded area off of Alexander Avenue on Wednesday." Authorities said Spears was reported missing days before his body was found.

Thomas was in court just six days before Spears' body was found on Oct. 3. "Court minutes say that Thomas had not reported to the probation office since he was sentenced," WBRZ reported.
